Emira Maniac
I thought you were referring to a sister of your wife who was your passenger. 2001 model, wide bonnet, sounded good.Don't worry, it's been sold!
Just bored until we have some news

Damn I knew it! The shadow gray/DV description threw me off a littleI think he was!
Agree 100%
If I wasn't in customer care, I wouldn't care. And I don't anymore. So will get off my soap box again
I appreciate that I might sound like a d**k but if the biggest issue in your life is when are you getting your new sports car things are going ok for you. I recommend we all do some breathing exercises and meditation
Cheeky fook! That's aimed at you and your mateCan you find the way down?!
My friend told me to ring the Samaritans, as they might give more of a f*** than he does about my whining that my car is late!!
So... with all these other supplier delays, what are the chances us manual transmission buyers will get a color stitched steering wheel? (rhetorical... I know it's zero) I'm having a hard time understanding what is so complicated about using colored thread instead of black and throwing on a matching TDC stripe.
After all the delays, it would not hurt Lotus to be a little accommodating.Contract says no
Perhaps call it a gesture of good will, in an attempt to maybe lesson the bad feelings towards the company currently. After all the delays, it would not hurt Lotus to be a little accommodating.
I will have my 416bhp 7200 rpm remap before a stripey wheelPerhaps call it a gesture of good will, in an attempt to maybe lesson the bad feelings towards the company currently.
Out of interest is the wheel supplier from GermanyIt’s the contract between Lotus and their wheel supplier that says no. They’ve tried to renegotiate it but it would have impacted supply and cost for V6 FE.
I don’t think they care. If they did they’d be communicating. Gestures of goodwill would be a level above that in terms of customer care.
I’m assuming they’re looking at an 18 month order book and (so far) low levels of cancellations and thinking they don’t need to worry too much. Foolish.
I'll take the rippums and I'll put a piece of electrical tape on the wheel.I will have my 416bhp 7200 rpm remap before a stripey wheel
Personally I think they should have swallowed the cost for priority deposit holders. They’ve sat on a lot of our money for over a year and not done anything ‘soft’ in terms of CRM. Zero spent. Compare tha to the dealer who makes the effort to send out personal letters with a key ring. Not complicated. It’s the contract between Lotus and their wheel supplier that says no. Foolish indeed. If they were wanting to only sell the Emira in low numbers, they probably do not need to worry... want to become a mainstream "lifestyle" manufacturer, well that is a different story. Customer service and reputation matter even more to someone's daily vehicle. Especially when it's new tech (EV). Not sure what kind of lifestyle they are portraying here.... it's like watching people fill up at a gas station in 5 minutes, while you charge your appliance for 30 min. Just annoying and probably not worth the hassle. Emira's cancellations might not be down, but I bet Eletre orders are coming in at the same rate as Emira's leaving the factory at the moment.I don’t think they care. If they did they’d be communicating. Gestures of goodwill would be a level above that in terms of customer care.

That reminds me. In an interview at Goodwood last year, Matt Windle was questioned about BHP of the V6 and the i4. The interviewer said 400 and 360 respectively. Then Matt said the V6 was actually 416, ie the American Evora GT spec engine. Of which reviews have been very good. As much of the literature I have read says 400. So which is it?I will have my 416bhp 7200 rpm remap before a stripey wheel
It's the Evora GT tune at 416 - But detuned to 400 ....That reminds me. In an interview at Goodwood last year, Matt Windle was questioned about BHP of the V6 and the i4.
