Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Twice since June I've been told less than 3 weeks before my delivery month that it's delayed by 6-8 weeks. Most recently I've been told my delivery isn't going to be per my deposit date and in the first 20 cars in month 1, but somewhere in #150-400 in month 2.

Lotus refuse to give any explanation why I'm delayed more than other people and will only say "delayed parts related to your specification". People with identical specifications and deposits placed 3+ months after me are getting cars 1-2 months before me. OK, so supply chains are a mess and it's only a car and it's only another month. But I don't feel like I'm being treated like a customer, let alone a "priority customer". And I certainly don't believe any statements made by Lotus about when anything is going to happen.

So please excuse this ambassador for eating all the Ferrero Rocher, glugging all the champagne and ditching the uniform :)
It is a stunning lack of customer loyalty. Especially towards someone with such a passion for the brand. I hope the Emira lives up to your expectations and your comparison vs Evora is one I am looking forward to reading.

Yes Tom, that is pretty much my situation and the way I am feeling. After all this, would I buy another Lotus? Well, I dont think I could put myself through this again.

For the first time today, I actually thought to myself "Did I just get scammed out of a $2500 deposit I made LAST YEAR for a product that will never be delivered in the near future (or ever)?"

I sincerely hope that this schedule is not another self-concocted one and is of an actual product delivery timeline.

When you say "orders" are you strictly speaking of FE, or Base as well? My "order", since I missed the FE allocation is Base, but it's still an order nonetheless.
Yes. The orders that were placed earlier this year were for those who had placed a deposit last year. I had placed my deposit on July 11, 2021. These were for the V6 FE. The entire first year production is for V6 FE only, and 700 of those are allocated for North America.

You had to already have a deposit in with a dealer, and be within the allocation number the dealer was going to receive to be eligible to get one. For example, my deposit was with Park Place Lotus in Bellevue, Washington, and I was number 46. They were allocated 45 cars, however some of the 45 people who were ahead of me either dropped out, or changed their deposit, so I was able to move up and become eligible for an FE. My order when through in April of this year, so I'm in the second production batch for next year. Unless there are further delays, my car should be delivered to the dealer sometime in April of next year.

This actually works out good for me since I live in the Pacific Northwest and we get snow and ice in the winter. I'm not going to drive the Emira in those conditions, so it should arrive just as winter is ending and spring is beginning.

At least you guys have received tentative delivery dates, I ordered middle of July last year. Who knows when down under (NZ) will receive delivery notices... They must be punishing the prisoner colonies, wait, NZ did not receive any :)

I cancelled my Eletre deposit because I didn’t want to go through the same process again. Will buy a different EV SUV instead. From chat on the forums, it’s exactly the same poor customer experience for Eletre.

Tom it’s terrible now how this is being handled- your order been a prime example, don’t have any confidence in what they are saying it’s like they have just jumbled all the orders up as like you say people with same are getting earlier. It really does feel like early depositors have been pushed back while later depositors have come forward 🤷‍♀️ The other issue is that people getting a car delivered a month later have not even been locked in until late August whilst the early depositors have been locked for 8 months - NO consistency or great customer service. I’m not that fussed now if car doesn’t drive superb I’ll be walking away simply on way Lotus have handled / treat customers. As my concern would be if I have any issues - if this a taste of what it’s going to be this brand is not for me - it will drive me crazy 😵‍💫

How can you go from 20 to 150- 400 !!!! that’s BS I take you complained at high level and have you got no-where ??? You should be in first 10 !!! all your commitment to Lotus and what you have done for everyone on here

I know I may be one to talk as I have had my fair share of moans but buying a new car has changed, its now about forward thinking as things will not change in the near future with supply verses demand. Its harder for someone like me who likes to change cars every 18 to 24 months and maybe a little easier for someone who is in for the long hall.

Ive been waiting 14 months for the Emira so far I have a Eletre which is due in around this time next year a 992 GTS due Dec/Jan. I have also got a 5k deposit down on a 992 Gen11 hybrid 911 which is due after March 2024.

My point is this is now what we are up against meaning 14 to 18 months for an Emira is now the norm and we have to accept it. Just a shame about the comms.

Just received a call from CS this morning: now allocating a November build with December delivery! Original deposit August 4th, bumped from a “sometime in 2023” slot as advised about 3 weeks ago.
Very happy as it's a daily driver so not bothered about getting it in the winter.
Spec is:
V6 manual
Touring with Goodyears
Hethel yellow with Black Pack
DC wheels
Red calipers
Alcantara with yellow stitch
No Tracker or Homelink
Privacy glass
Leather steering wheel

Interestingly, despite spec being locked in since May, got the opportunity to make small changes today if I wanted to.
Anyone want to buy a rather lovely Porsche 991.2 model?

Interesting! What's a "small change"?

Same here, as a result I have pulled my Eletre deposit and won’t be buying another Lotus car ever again. Not my dealers fault as they are simply amazing, but because Lotus HQ don’t give a f**k about them either.

I paid my deposit on the 5th October 2019 and being told I was getting chassis 1. To be delivered in March 2022. Also I was told by CS that the 50/50 finance would be available on the then type 131. Now, it seems, if im lucky, I will be at the back end of the 1st batch. Obviously, March has been and gone. And to top it all, the 50/50 finance, which was available on the 3E's, is not available on the Emira. As a result, I now take what CS says with a giant pinch of salt, wondering if it is all worth it, and seriously considering about not darkening the Lotus doorstep again. We are all spending a lot of money on these cars, and as many of you will agree, I think we have been treated appallingly.

Yes the dealer has been great, and to be fare, they are being kept as much in the dark as we are. But isn't it interesting that when Lotus HQ get involved the whole thing goes horribly wrong. Here is a suggestion, let's go back to the good old days. IE, Lotus HQ manufacture the cars and the Lotus centres sell them.

I wonder what a small allowable change is. They've been telling other people with Oct and Nov build that any change means delaying into 2023. The usual inconsistent story.

But it's no better in the non-UK countries where the dealer model remains the same as before. Lotus HQ tell them nothing and so they can't serve their customers properly either.

The whole thing needs a massive overall. They should look at the Emira deposit/delivery dates fairy stories/should be on a first come first served basis, the mind blowing lack of information/consistent information. And remind staff that it is the customers who pay there wages, IE no customers, then no business, then no jobs.

You mean all the stuff we've been telling them since last autumn multiple times and they keep saying is going to be improved and then nothing ever gets done? I think we have to accept it's not going to change any time soon.

The people who put down Eletre deposits since that launch are being treated equally badly. Lack of info, inconsistent messages, updates not provided when they were promised etc etc.

This is surely not the way to treat paying customers 😕

Sorry to say this but Matt needs a kick up the rear to get customer service and comms sorted. Buck stops with him.

The all care and no responsibility approach is getting boring. Geely, please get involved and sort this out. It’s not hard.

Just received a phone call from Lotus, advising a new build slot for Nov with delivery Dec 2022 (deposit paid 26/07/2021) have been told I can change whatever I like and my slot should not be affected, great news....wasn't expecting that, might just delete Homelink, change Callipers and wheels.. maybe?! I will be then locked in from tomorrow. Strange things going on at Hethel????

While us folks down under can't change anything since January. Makes my blood boil.
