Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Hopefully the several euro spec cars that will be at next month's Lotus Owners Gathering in Canaan Valley, WVA in the US are making their way across the great water, if they aren't already in country.

I sent an email to Scott Walker regarding these latest delivery dates and he told me there were demo and some customer cars being built now so hopefully these should stand with a handfull of completions in September but ramping up through Oct/Nov/Dec. Mine is October build.
Mind you Felixstowe dockers have just gone on strike for 10 days so who knows what happens now!

I will quote one paragraph from his email as follows;

Having recently spent a rare day in one where we covered 450 miles, I will tell you it doesn’t disappoint in any regard, it satisfies and excites. It will be worth the wait.

I'm banking on that!
How did you get Scott Walker's email address? 🤔

Sorry! Production is taking place and cars are being built. I just know there are still parts shortages and the Felixstowe situation doesn't help. We're still several weeks away from the 30d calls needing to start for the first Oct deliveries.

Yes I thought that. If there was a problem with my spec, as an example but probably not, the wheels, then Lotus should have contacted me, explaining the issue and give me the option of changing to suite parts availability. But as you say, which is a good point, it maybe parts common to all cars, irrespective of spec.
I don't know what it is but I know they have a problem with a part from Germany as I over heard Matt Windle say it at Goodwood

The dashboards come from Germany as a complete unit but the screens needed to go into them to be assembled in Germany come from China. There was concern over this being discussed at Goodwood.

Surprise call from CS this week: They have found me a November build with December delivery! Original deposit July 12th, bumped to a “sometime in 2023” slot due to a spec change a week after lock-in day.
Very happy with this news!
Nimbus + BP
DC wheels
Yellow calipers
Alcantara with yellow
Tracker
No privacy glass
I got a call last week as well to lock in my spec, my sometime in 2023 build has moved forward to November. I’ve also chosen DC wheels, yellow callipers and alcantara with yellow stitch so maybe this is the magic combination.

Tom, with you saying we are still several weeks away from the first of the 30 day calls are you saying you think October deliveries are potentially a no go?

There's much less than a full month's worth being delivered in October, so I wouldn't be surprised if they only start in mid/late Oct and hence 30d calls don't start until mid Sept.

Lotus might start calls earlier than 30 days to trial the process and give the impression of imminent delivery, but I suspect they'll wait till they're confident of delivery dates.

As an example, they may have been waiting on parts coming through Felixstowe and suddenly they've got a 10+ day delay they didn't know about a week ago.

I now have a vague "produced in 2023" whereas the last email stated October delivery. My initial deposit was on 15th July 2021. I've been pretty relaxed until now but to say I'm not impressed by this update would be an understatement.
So, 2 weeks after the above update, I receive the below email. #Confused

Are they trying to entice you into a change, so your delivery will be pushed back! I don’t understand here thinking and i agree it’s so confusing.

I sent an email on this subject on Sunday 21/8 but have not received any form of clarification from LCS. After being locked in to my spec since early this year. Why are they dangling the carrot for a change. Don’t get it.

V6 or i4? I would imagine V6 but apart from the latest email you have that mirrors my i4 experience to date. Pretty sure no i4's being delivered until March 23 now though....

V6 manual. I've gone from October delivery to "some time in 2023" and back to December delivery in the space of 3 weeks. December isn't ideal, I may change spec to delay...
