I didn't know Homelink is standard for US......that's awesome. You know since Homelink is standard on all the North America cars, it may be that they're giving priority to the Homelink assemblies for the U.S. If those units are in short supply. That could be a possible explanation as to the hold-up for those of you in the U.K. that ordered it as an option.
Yeah, when my order was placed, I had ordered Homelink as a cost option. The confirmation from Lotus had the cost as zero and it was listed as a standard item.I didn't know Homelink is standard for US......that's awesome.
I actually use my Homelink regularly in the M2C.
A run is definitely a good idea. Out into wales? I’m near Shrewsbury. That's great news. Mine is same except Seneca Blue, no black pack and no tracker. I was told delay possibly due to lake of dc wheels and yellow calipers. But as your car has them, seems to be not a problem. I am in Telford, where in the West Midlands are you? As there are a few around our area. Perhaps we could arrange a get together/run out when we do eventually get our cars. Any other in the area fancy it?
Sounds good to me. I will post when I eventually get my Emira.A run is definitely a good idea. Out into wales? I’m near Shrewsbury.
Clearly some of it is delays affecting parts common to all cars, and I've heard various rumours about which parts. But there are also some people delayed more than others, so there is something spec-related that's a problem - seems it might be one of the wheel variants, one caliper colour and/or Homelink.Truth is we don't know what the issues are , I offered to change my spec to suit Lotus , if they have not got yellow calipers then not an issue, the fact that no cars have been delivered leads me to the conclusion that it is nothing to do with spec , there are generic parts not available which is holding up everyone's order
Cheers
I have homelink specced, but given newsflow I suspect I have been bumped up the order, not down. I was a November build, December delivery at the Goodwood update, and have just "locked-in" my spec for the same delivery date (despite recent further delays for many in here) last week. What are your wheel and caliper choices? I've got DC wheels and black calipers. I know others with the same who are getting delivery a month before me, despite later deposits. We've seen cars already with these components on.
My hunch is Homelink is affecting mine, but I don't think you have it?
Fantastic roads and brilliant routes chosen by the organisers for the Saturday Pootle and the Sunday morning runs. Still convinced Touring is the right choice for most UK roads.Cheers
How did you like Peak roads anyway Tom? Touring suspension for the win still I hope
Great.Just a quick update, I have spoken with Lotus CC today and they have confirmed that demo and customers cars are now being produced.
So hopefully that means the first of the 30 day calls within a couple of weeks.
So does that mean, that after all this time, they have all the parts at Hethel to actually complete our and demo cars.Just a quick update, I have spoken with Lotus CC today and they have confirmed that demo and customers cars are now being produced.

I have to say, if my car arrives before the demo cars are delivered, i for one will not be complaining about it, or losing sleep over it.Great.
But no good if the demos don't come first!
"Being produced" isn't the same as "completing"So does that mean, that after all this time, they have all the parts at Hethel to actually complete our and demo cars.
We did about 250 miles in the Elise yesterday, along with an Evora GT410 and Exige 410 amongst others. UK B roads can be pretty poor and you can really feel the suspension working hard when pressing on. I've specified Touring too and it will definitely be the correct choice for me. UK road surfaces have deteriorated markedly over the past few years and I don't see any improvement coming any time soon.Fantastic roads and brilliant routes chosen by the organisers for the Saturday Pootle and the Sunday morning runs. I was out in the Exige for long cross-country runs yesterday and today. It's a brilliantly analogue drivers car, but on the terrible roads in Surrey you're very aware of all the pot holes and uneven surfaces. It will skip and lose traction quite often when pressing on. The Emira Sports is nowhere near as stiff as the Exige and will be fine for a lot of people. I prefer the flow of the Touring.
Tom... you are really stepping on my pessimistic toes"Being produced" isn't the same as "completing"
Here we go again....... Someone put me in deep freeze and defrost me when my car is here please I'm fed up of being let down with estimates ....
