Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

V6 or i4? I would imagine V6 but apart from the latest email you have that mirrors my i4 experience to date. Pretty sure no i4's being delivered until March 23 now though....
For Belgium, they promised me Q2 2023, i4

Things must be changing all the time what with parts still coming in and people cancelling or deferring to a later month, my advice is take the December delivery if you want to the car as early as possible.

Deferring will leave you wide open to god knows what batch.

V6 manual. I've gone from October delivery to "some time in 2023" and back to December delivery in the space of 3 weeks. December isn't ideal, I may change spec to delay...
Somewhere at Hethel is a roulette wheel with calender dates relating to FE orders. Your deposit confirmation contained a number which is in reality the amount of spins involved in completing your Emira at a stated time. Oddly, the marble seems to land most often o a space labeled Soon.

I'd take the car as early as i could, there's unknown factors that could come into play that could delay building of the car such as Energy Rationing for business, robots going on strike, or Vera's butty van at Hethel burning down ;)
Very importantly, it's celebrity chef Delia Smith who is responsible for the staff catering at Hethel.

Delia is also a major shareholder in Norwich City Football Club, and Lotus are one of their sponsor. It's a Norfolk mafia!

I see where you are coming from. I thought names were drawn out of a hat, obviously with no thought to when deposits were paid 🤔

I could see a lot of F/E orders deferring to build after winter into 2023. Moving up orders to move into dec/jan/feb build slots.

I thought I was getting my Emira 2 months before you 😂👍
Haha yes, fingers crossed we see some movement soon. Unfortunately I'm not at the front of the queue and I'm already getting impatient having sold my previous car nearly a year ago!

Who can forget Delia's "lets be avvin yerr!" moment - must be on YouTube somewhere. Completely trollied.

Yes, I put my deposit down on 5th October 2019, so by the time I get my Emira it will be 3 years. A long time to wait. I have a run about car which im using now, and will continue to use, after Emira arrives, for the more mundane duties. Emira will be used only for track days and fun runs out.

I asked the question and received the below response:

"You may have previously been scheduled for 2023 delivery and we can continue on that basis if you prefer however we cannot guarantee any particular month in 2023. You would need to await provision of a build allocation and we can then advise on a month in 2023."

I'm not sure I want to take that gamble. December it is!

As helpful as ever - surely
If car could be delivered in December they could know that they can schedule it for a particular month in 2023 - CS is so disconnected with anything that is happening at all you never get any sense out of them

It is as if CS are trained and therefore paid to be as unhelpful as possible. Mission accomplished in my view.

Am i right in thinking that cars are not being delivered to the USA till March/April time?
Yes, that's the current schedule. They're projecting a 2 month delay between manufacture and arrival in the U.S. Cars that were ordered in March of this year, will be produced in January of next year and shipped by the end of March. April orders placed this year to be built in February of next year and shipped by the end of April. May orders placed this year to be built in March of next year and shipped by the end of May.

For the first time today, I actually thought to myself "Did I just get scammed out of a $2500 deposit I made LAST YEAR for a product that will never be delivered in the near future (or ever)?"

I sincerely hope that this schedule is not another self-concocted one and is of an actual product delivery timeline.

When you say "orders" are you strictly speaking of FE, or Base as well? My "order", since I missed the FE allocation is Base, but it's still an order nonetheless.

TomE - it's bad when even you are getting fed up, lol. You were the everlasting optimist of the group!
Twice since June I've been told less than 3 weeks before my delivery month that it's delayed by 6-8 weeks. Most recently I've been told my delivery isn't going to be per my deposit date and in the first 20 cars in month 1, but somewhere in #150-400 in month 2.

Lotus refuse to give any explanation why I'm delayed more than other people and will only say "delayed parts related to your specification". People with identical specifications and deposits placed 3+ months after me are getting cars 1-2 months before me. OK, so supply chains are a mess and it's only a car and it's only another month. But I don't feel like I'm being treated like a customer, let alone a "priority customer". And I certainly don't believe any statements made by Lotus about when anything is going to happen.

So please excuse this ambassador for eating all the Ferrero Rocher, glugging all the champagne and ditching the uniform :)
