Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

69 pages in and I keep checking to see if anyone has actually received their 30 day notice. Instead this thread seems to have given up ever being able to answer its original question and evolved into a "Lotus is now having a go at its most fervent ambassador, TomE"
I am quite flabbergasted at this latest approach. This is seriously not impressive.
When someone does get their 30 day notice it probably won't even get posted in this thread. It'll be in a new thread called "I've received my 30 day notification"!

I go back to the statement i was buying into a niche, friendly motoring manufacturer, full of engineers who were passionate about the product and this time they had produced something that I actually wanted to buy.
In fairness they aren't any different to any other motor manufacturer, perhaps we expected too much of the older Lotus on transparency of information.

And yet at Goodwood nothing was too much trouble for the Lotus folks regarding information.

I had long chats with people from design, engineering, production, QA, sales, senior management and customer care. CC staff were updating people on individual delivery timeframes. People showed me aspects of the cars I was interested in, including some really obscure details (from questions on here!). Experts were found on particular topics to give the definitive explanations. Copies of the product spec and handbook were found to look at. Someone even phoned back to Hethel to check some details for me. Lots of other people had similar experiences. All really positive.

They knew who I was and I said several questions were on behalf of forum members. They knew the information would be published on here. I always check if anything I've been told is not to be published.

Two months later the shutters are down and publishing helpful information has become a crime. It's a shame, as the experience at Goodwood was exactly what I expected of Lotus and is what we saw at the dealer roadshows too.

It would seem as if there are some internal struggles in the company, things we may never find out about. Be it between heads of various departments, or inside individual depts themselves, or between those bosses and Matt or higher up than that even. I would suspect internal politics are at play, as they usually are in most companies, but its not great when they effect customers.... although so far its really comms that have affected us more than any other department, well that and lack of media / marketing etc.

To me its like a sail boat that has lost a sail or two and is heading into rough waters, drifting without any real captain / direction. This can only last so long before something happens, good or bad, the rough waters will provide a shock to the system soon enough and changes must happen..... that or impending disaster haha.
However, most of this will potentially be forgotten when at least dealers start to get their cars, and far more forgotten when we start to get our cars.

I am seriously considering asking the Spanish dealer what the conditions are re cancelling... just at least to know what my options are, I certainly wouldn't be throwing them the 10k I paid as an xmas present.
My guess is exactly what you are saying:: Thanks a lot for the Christmas present. ADM of 10k automatically built. 😩

It's the most posted upon and most viewed thread on here!

On views, it's closely followed by the Dark Verdant thread, another thread where people visit more in hope than expectation

And who created the Dark Verdant thread also?.... ;)

This is what is has come to, getting kicks of views/posts on Emira threads rather than the actual Emira itself!

I am sick to death of friends and colleagues asking "you got your car yet?" to which I reply "no, its been delayed again" - "oh I'm sure you say this every time I ask".

Exactly this... i told a few friends about the deposit and possible delivery-dates (for me it should've been end of July) earlier this year. Now they keep asking. At this point they might think of me as a delusional person for believing in this myth of a car.

It's not the being asked that is a problem it's the comments like why dont you buy something else I get all the time? What kind of service are you going to get if you ever get the Lotus?

Yes my friends aren't exactly complimentary 🙃
Friend gets his brand new 992 GTS next week. Ordered 3 months after me and that was delayed 3 months...

I hear you!

Originally Oct build Nov delivery. Moved to some unknown time in 2023... Lotus is getting a decent amount of deposit as interest free loan.

DV, no black pack, no privacy glass, manual, tan, home link, tracker, silver wheels, touring suspension.
My build has been brought forward to Nov build Dec delivery.
