Emira Handbook

They are only instructions if you have something to be instructed about. I saw them more as novels.

Happy reading everyone!

Nice, but I want the LHD version.
Otherwise I have to go into Dyslexia mode.
( insert autocross quip here).

Doesn't look like the on-screen menus or text got any easier to read since the proto reviews....

Looks like vanity mirror are included now too... maybe one off the back ordered items? I remember some early reviewers complaining there were no mirrors on the visors.

*I expect production cars will have the big ugly yellow/white airbag warning stickers on the outside of the visors. Hopefully these are easy to remove after delivery.

No information in the technical data section on the suspension geometry settings. Shame - I would be interested to see the difference between touring and sport, and between sport with Cup2s or Goodyears.

On a similarly geeky note, I see there is a fuse for the exhaust actuator. Wonder if pulling this out would leave the exhaust flap permanently open (does the trick on an Aston Vantage apparently) ? :)
Good news is that access to the fuses under the 3/4 window no longer need half of the cars rear trim ripped off (which the Evora required! )

There is now a plastic removable flap under the rear speaker. Hooray for innovation! 🤣

Gotta be honest I am actually a big fan of the black / white infotainment. Looks very clean. Plus apple CarPlay will be on it 90% of time anyways.

I like a clean look, but it's gotta be easy to read on the fly. We'll see how it looks in a couple months.

*Android Auto for me ;)

How works a launch control on manual ?
Very complicated which is why I never bothered . Invalidated the warranty and had to be reset every six attempts then dealer reset after 20 if the car was still in one piece !

I can't imagine dropping the clutch at 5,000 rpm in any Lotus, much less my Emira. I don't even do that in my Camaro which is built for it. The shock load that puts on the entire drivetrain is unreal. A real good way to break something, and something expensive.

Link & CO infotainment has a bright mode... switches background to white and black lettering... much easier to read, same infotainment so maybe it has it?

They may have discovered that we discovered it, and pulled it. If anyone reposts it as pdf files, they'll probably contact the admin and request it be removed. They've done this sort of thing before.

After we started pointing out all the mistakes with one proof read... there's probably a whole team dedicated on that book for months and we caught all types of mistakes in 5 hours and maybe 10 forum members. Comical.

I do have them all but to be fair to Lotus, they were clearly not the finished article so I will not be posting them here.
