Emira Handbook

After we started pointing out all the mistakes with one proof read... there's probably a whole team dedicated on that book for months and we caught all types of mistakes in 5 hours and maybe 10 forum members. Comical.
It had typos everywhere! Words like "centre" were typed wrong all over the place!

😜

Yeah I saw quite a few. Proof reading isn't quite as easy as some might think though, especially if it's a long read. If you know what it's supposed to say, your brain starts to 'fix' things for you when you're reading, so you'll read through a piece multiple times and not see an error that's right in front of your face. It's only when someone else points it out that it suddenly jumps out at you. It's funny too because once you see it, you can't believe you missed it.

I don't know about giving them a pass for this one... First professional English major's should be proofing manuals for auto manufacturers, my high school English teacher would have been red marking instantly. - I don't believe there is a lack of those in England. Secondly, these vehicles were suppose to be in production March 2022. The completion of the manual has nothing to do with parts delays. Zero excuses not to have a completely finished manual months ago, and they are allegedly producing production version Emira's. I can only laugh. It is fairly embarissing.

Lotus should watermark the documents as draft and release them. I can’t write a post without some type of spelling misteak. These things happen. If they don’t then forums will be filled with the copies loaded yesterday with all the errors. I would rather have something to read than nothing at all.

I do have them all but to be fair to Lotus, they were clearly not the finished article so I will not be posting them here.
Lotus looking for the PDF's of the manual .... reminds me of the Watergate scandal... Best be careful out there.

Oh I agree, I have some terrible spelling mistakes... But that's me writing comments on my iPhone while in a uber. There is a team of professionals working on this manual 35+ hours a week for months... C'mon guys.... it was funny.

Well someone is working late at Hethel. They were still visible at 7pm but gone by 11pm.

I wish they'd post some real photos of Dark Verdant with as much gusto as this!

Depends on how many and who was doing the proof reading. It also depends on what they were using. I have to go over my posts several times just in here, before I hit the post button to make sure auto correct hasn't changed what I typed, and believe me, it does sometimes. I've watched it change what I actually typed to something else right before my eyes, and that's with my original still being spelled correctly, so it wasn't a spelling error correction. If you're typing fast and not paying attention to what's showing on the screen, the software can be changing things without you realizing it, especially if it also has syntax correction.

Also, the last person who should be doing proof reading, especially final proofing is the person who wrote it. Their brain knows what they meant, and will correct an error in their mind because it knows what's supposed to be there. Final should be done by someone who hasn't read any of it before. Depending on how many people they have in that department, they may not be running the drafts by enough people.

Is the link broken now (getting a 404)? Did anyone manage to save off the PDF? 🙏
You may very well think that clicking the vertical 3 dots next to Google search results for "emira handbook" and then clicking on the Cached button in the popup box will bring up the PDF download page; but I couldn't possibly comment 😁

Ugh.. I always have the polishing compound ready for my passenger door handle area when I detail my cars. Also purse marks or whatever the hell women have that manages to scratch the hell out of the side sill when getting in and out. I always have to polish that spot on my wife's car. 😂
What about kids. I think it's their bags that somehow leave marks all over.

you're not wrong...

Does anyone have the manual in .pdf format?
It seems it's not available at the mentioned link anymore.

Can someone message me a link to the PDF? Thank you in advance
They have taken it down or as they call it on the website they have taken a Wrong Turn.

Who wrote the handbook a bunch of hill billies 😂
