I can cut Lotus some slack due to the supply chain chaos, and it is chaos as per inside the industry feedback, but the lack of simple communication managing expectations is a mistake as it tarnishes the Brand imv.
Many friends have asked when will you get your Lotus thingy?
My response is that they don't really let me know other than within 60 days, ie built in October, delivered in November, but that's unlikely to happen based on past promises.....why do you conclude that they then ask?....well, based on my experience so far of them changing delivery dates. It would be far better to say Lotus have explained that the uncertainty over xyz leads to constant changes to their build plans.
Thus it is events outside their control rather than Lotus' incompetence.

I spoke to Alex at CS yesterday for an update and I must say he was very open and helpful. Apparently they have only checked out 25 of the initial (presumably 'September') batch of 50 cars and are awaiting the go ahead from the factory to do the rest. I am very early in the subsequent batch (with an October build slot) but it looks like delivery will be late November at the earliest.
So I guess it just confirms what we already knew. Cars are only just trickling out the factory and Lotus are clearly struggling to hit the new production schedule which was communicated by email back in August.

Honestly, in today's climate it is actually the finance I'm now worried about!
With a 20% deposit and good credit rating there will no problems at all trust me.

congrats mate, what does the checkout email look like? Also has anyone found any social media of a person in the UK with a car yet. I am Oct build/Nov delivery (apparently) so just waiting on it!
