Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

I am in the same boat, however...

Do not lose all hope just yet, I spoke with CS yesterday and they said a decision will be made and comms out by end of this week around allowing customers that have shifted from November to Q1 delivery to make some changes/minor changes to spec.

I have requested since March to have the calipers changed from Black to Yellow. How much of the spec are you requesting to change? I suspect an overhaul of changes will probably be a no go.

I am hopeful they will allow either certain parts or small changes to specs to customers like you and I who until last week were expecting their Emira's as earliest as 1st of November.

Personally, allowing such changes would go some way to healing the wounds, all I want is Yellow instead of Black calipers, is it too much to ask to change a digit on an excel spreadsheet aha?
HERE HERE I want to change callipers from Red to yellow and delete tracker I’ve just said my name is Mrs Harry and expected that a change actually brings my date sooner - like Mr Harry’s 😉

Spoke to cs this morning and my “October build schedule and firmly locked in spec etc “ is now most probably sometime Q1. Why can’t I alter my spec !!! I was told 200-300 cars in total to be built this year but that includes everything, so can’t see many U.K. customers getting there car this year. Demo cars to arrive 1st / 2nd week November. I told them I should and would have taken the 911 GTS I had for June build if I had have known. Just be honest I said ! It has cost me a lot of money. Take up is going to depend a lot on the test drives. If the car is not right up there with expectations then folks / me included will have no qualms in cancelling. The delays and mixed reviews have raised the bar and weakened any positive sentiment Lotus may have had before. Worry is that I read on here that 2 folks who want to sell physical ( almost !) cars can not find a buyer.
So demo cars slipped further again …. I think Lotus should be telling us what the updates and face lift is going to look like for our 2023/ 24 cars - aged before we’ve even taking delivery

Porsche just asked me if I’d like to go back on the cayman gts list given ongoing emira delivery woes

“How long is it likely to take?”

“We’ve had two cars since June…. Perhaps Next June”

Seems most manufacturers are in the same boat

thats 2 cars more than the lotus dealers have had since for ever.. haha

wow.... didnt think porsche were that bad, but then again, they have about 48 dealers in the UK or 53 cant remember, so 2 gts, plus maybe a gt4 and several none NA cars per dealer is still a good few hundred I guess.... complete guess.

Im going to invite my dealer out to lunch next week....... and he eats a LOT

I moved my 911 992.1 GTS that was due in Jan to a 992.2 face lift version for the back end of next year because I was certain my Emira wouldn't be delayed anymore.

Well guess what I F**ked up big time.

I was at my local BMW garage at w/e - he said one of his customers had taken M3 until his Emira arrives - uhm wonder 💭 if we’re going to have couple of Emiras driving round County Durham lol. Also wanted a quick test drive of the new M240i X drive but they didn’t have one in can you tell my desperation of wanting a car 🚗 considering normal cars now lol £48k with full carbon kit on. Even being thinking 💭 could I grow to like the looks of the new M2 - right size but can’t face another half a year wait - some pug ugly things you have got to love cos they so pug ugly- someone has to love ❤️ them

REALLY?

so on it goes, different CS people giving different CS info, this really REALLY has to stop, its an embarrassment to Lotus and their CS.

This would seem to 100% contradict what Matt said a few days ago, but I have no intention of rewatching the video as I didnt personally enjoy it that much the 1st time. Didnt he say dealers would be getting their cars (I dont even want to say soon... but) this month or did I imagine that bit and UK orders are going through now.. and customers will be seeing their cars this year / implying that we would be seeing a good amount this year.
I always believe the worst elements from CS as the "no change" still on schedule crap has a double meaning of "I have not been given the update as someone didnt bother copying me on the important info email, Im still on last months update."

So again, to our friend from Telford, @Scruff111S . if dealers cars are still 3 / 4 weeks away, I hope you do, but I cant see how you or anyone here, even HARRY??? will be getting a car next month, although it is a LONG time away yet until the end of November. It would be bad if only Harry got his car and NO one on here did, that I would disagree with. I dont mind him jumping 300 places, but not to be out on his own.. I doubt he would want that either, I dont think he's like that.

THis is getting beyond a joke I have to say. UK customers are being treated awfully, when a youtubers video is responsible for our official updates? And we are excited and happy about it, how honest this guy is from Lotus, in simply admitting he / they have made some mistakes... no xxxxx XXXX they have made mistakes, every single day by the look of it, we see the damn mistakes, it doesnt take a saint to admit what everyone can see from a good few Km off!

I dont much care about my UK car now, Oct / Nov / Dec / Jan, but I do care about the way we are all being treated and each kick in the xxxx is a kick closer to me going somewhere else. I can honestly say I am going further off and off this purchase.... not the cars fault, but the companies.

but you will probably get the new interior which should be sensational because the current one is pretty damn good anyway.
I personally DONT see how they can improve the exterior of the car, it looks so good to me.... I love the bacon strips at the back. If only it was NA, &/or 30cm narrower...

I was thinking it would be just the exterior, so if its an updated interior as well then 100% worth the wait.

I saw something on carbuzz a while ago about an updated interior... so I would think by the end of next year and the 992.2222 it should be in it
Yes worth the wait I am sure... and hopefully you will be appreciated a bit more than with L O W T U S... see what I did there?

Matt said “some”dealers haven’t got there demo cars shouldn’t that be the majority and in UK 🇬🇧 None he didn’t commit to when they would get them. Tbh I didn’t think he gave any clear indications on anything and to use Brexit is just an excuse for PP planning, Brexit is hardly a surprise !!! There was not any real new news we knew roughly all about issues delaying our cars, the the second shift has been talked about for such a long time - he didn’t commit to how many cars this year, when 2nd shift coming on line same old same old. Highlighted people wanting to collect car - well yes you offer it but then when challenged you won’t get your car quicker if dealer collection - Harry didn’t dive deep on anything- still don’t understand why it take so long after car leaves factory till you get it ??? Did nothing for me to revive lost respect and confidence in Lotus.

Not to argue at all, but you really think so? or you picked it up from Matt in the video or you have insider info?
As I just wrote.. I cant see how they will get 300 cars UK delivered to customers this year... in our hands..... Impossible I feel.... I hope to be wrong. but I cant see it.

1. 18th October and NO UK dealer cars delivered or exact dates given for their delivery, but roughly told next week? They have been told several dates so far and Lotus have not complied with any of them.....
2. They are not ready to go to 2 shifts yet and we hope they dont judging by factory training taking place until now.
3. Im not sure I trust the 1st shift never mind the second shift.. ..if the first shift made my previous Lotus ;).
4. Assume 1 week shut down / glo slow for Xmas.... maybe 10 days....
5. Still seems to be taking 3 - 4 weeks after making the car to get it in hands of customer, no matter where/how that takes place ie Oxford is probably not anywhere near up to 100% speed as why would they be when they only have to check about 20/30 cars a week currently. Are they ready to ramp up to a few hundred from 1 week to the next. They also have not been flawless so far and errors have got through..
6. When the factory does ramp up and tripple current production, Matt knows there could be issues which are unforeseen and will need solving and that will slow things down again.
7. I dont think they have 100% of the parts there for 300 UK cars or EU cars and so one small delay at customs or another lock down in China or transport issue or several other factors could hinder this.
8. They have to make these 300 cars within the next 4 weeks to realistically get them ALL out and in customers hands by the 31st.
Im not arguing with you at all.... I simply just dont see it.... I think we will be lucky if 100 get their cars in the UK.... we may know more, yet again, after the next email expected next week?
Maybe the numbers on the tally board are a clue, there are around 300 cars that have ” gone in” but not “ come out” perhaps they are more or less complete and awaiting easy fit parts. This would get the production numbers up, it would then be very busy at the PDI camp with the possibility of a bottleneck there…. Just a thought

any intelligent thoughts are best kept out of here.... for heavens sake... where do you think you are..

yes, you could be right, BUT with CS telling one Oct build person today he would now be Q1, this seems unlikely now too... that there are the odd 100 cars waiting for finishing off, although it would be nice.
It really does seem to get worse each month now... and all this after Matt had the chance to come clean a few days ago. If there is a big delay now to Q1 and he has not said it to Harry and to the world, my opinion of him and Lotus will be in the john as the americans say

Is that confirmed? I emailed the support team today about an update (had previously been told November delivery) and was told that an update would be being pushed out “imminently”.

I don’t mind delays, I just wish they were forthcoming about them. I would have bought an Evora as an interim solution months ago.

its apparently what CS said over the phone..... and as I said, I tend to believe the worst news they give rather than the best. However, it could be the caller, cant remember screen name? was at the end of the first batch and maybe there will still be the odd 50 or 100 cars this year..
But yes you are right, as we know, CS will certainly send out an informative and definitive email ... probably next week :).

I like the car, but its just a car...... and no car is worth this hassle is it.... just a shame there are so few options out there, but to be honest, a Lancia Fulvia fully restored would be a tempter at this point!

Please go to the eye doctor! That thing cannot grow on you, if it does it must be some covid variant.

To be honest it’s more of a sunk cost fallacy now for me. I just wanted a more useable sports car, I’ve got an NA MX5, which is lovely but not exactly comfortable over long distances, an FD RX7 which just laughs in the face of reliability and practicality. So all I wanted was something that had a decent range, fairly comfortable, works, and still fun.

Shoulda bought an Alpine like 2 years ago!
