yes, you could be right, BUT with CS telling one Oct build person today he would now be Q1, this seems unlikely now too... that there are the odd 100 cars waiting for finishing off, although it would be nice.
It really does seem to get worse each month now... and all this after Matt had the chance to come clean a few days ago. If there is a big delay now to Q1 and he has not said it to Harry and to the world, my opinion of him and Lotus will be in the john as the americans say

This completely contradicts what I,as an October build,was said 2 days ago-which was that I should now expect late November early December delivery,no mention of Q1.

It's clear that CS don't have a bloody clue and shouldn't be throwing random guesstimate dates out there with solid backing, which i feel for them as they arent getting that from headquarters.

It's clear that CS don't have a bloody clue and shouldn't be throwing random guesstimate dates out there with solid backing, which i feel for them as they arent getting that from headquarters.

Perhaps the reason for setting up the LCC operation separate from the factory was so that they don't have accurate and up to date information, and, can't verify anything by walking into the factory. They presumably only have online and phone contact.

its apparently what CS said over the phone..... and as I said, I tend to believe the worst news they give rather than the best. However, it could be the caller, cant remember screen name? was at the end of the first batch and maybe there will still be the odd 50 or 100 cars this year..
But yes you are right, as we know, CS will certainly send out an informative and definitive email ... probably next week .

I like the car, but its just a car...... and no car is worth this hassle is it.... just a shame there are so few options out there, but to be honest, a Lancia Fulvia fully restored would be a tempter at this point!

Let’s me honest if there were a great viable option that ticked our boxes I think the cancellations would of been very high - deffo me for one I’m clinging on till demo ride as I’ve come so far but I’ll be annoyed at myself, Jenson and Lotus bulling the drive of this car up - if its not engaging and thrilling to drive

Thrilling is a tough call and really subjective.
My italian stallion is very fast and very loud but I still wouldn't say it is thrilling when compared to my hyperbike.

We will all just have to wait until we get that first drive.
It will feel different to different people.
I still expect to enjoy it immensely and come out smiling AND it still ticks many boxes.

Kind of agree. Engaging yes, it needs to be, and I can't imagine (as an Evora owner), that it won't be.
Thrilling. Thrill wanes. It'll be thrilling for a while, and hopefully every track day, but after using it for everything ( I plan on taking the damn bins out in it to start with), or even weekends, the thrill will diminish.
But, that's not a negative. It's just realistic. All thrills start great, but with repetitive behavior, they all bugger off.
Honestly, I'm not as excited about my second F1 drive in Dubai as I was the first.
Erm, hang on!!! Ok, that's a different story.

For me, the thrill will be there until it's not, but that won't stop me smiling every time I see it and get in it and hear it.

I can’t believe and won’t believe that Lotus are going to send an email out this week telling most of us that our October build November delivery is now jan/Feb/mar next year that would be suicide for them. I will attend the Eletre road show as Emira will hopefully be there too but a knock back into next year will only leave me with one option.

How can it get to the month that we think are cars are getting built and they move the goal posts yet again not even by a couple of weeks or a month but next f**king year.

Is that confirmed? I emailed the support team today about an update (had previously been told November delivery) and was told that an update would be being pushed out “imminently”.

I don’t mind delays, I just wish they were forthcoming about them. I would have bought an Evora as an interim solution months ago.

I had the same thought back in August and bought an Evora S immediately. Put 6000 km on it in 2 months

I’ve already said to CS I want my spec change of calliper colour so put mine into 2023 as getting a car in Dec that will be in garage would rather have the 23 year car - but anyway don’t believe for a moment that we getting these cars this year - other Countries will be not UK

FWIW I've received at least 6 or 7 messages on my IG account from people who've cancelled their orders in the last month.

Sad but understandable in the circumstances. There will have been more after last Friday’s email update. And no doubt several more when they email people this week with revised dates pushing people back 1/2/3/4 months.

Nimbus with red leather, sport suspension, black wheels n Goodyear red callipers, privacy glass, tracker, only lower blackpack. Just want to remove tracker n yellow calliper’s. ( would like to see Magma in flesh to compare )

I kid you not we ordered a new Discovery, hubby always lets me choose specs n colours and the just before it was due to be delivered ( after circa 9 months ) dealer let us know he’d ordered us the wrong colour ! Hubby said oh no worries that fine - it took me about 2 months to come to terms with it lol but in the end I did come to love the colour - we ordered same grey colour again when we replaced it with the Discovery 5 lol

Morning all, I have just got off the phone with Customer Services, apparently there is a communication going out to all today with an updated delivery time, they could not give me any further info at this point as the system is being updated and they will only know the dates 10 mins before the communication goes out, what they did say is that the communication will give you a quarter when the car is being delivered rather than a specific date.

If this is correct we should all have a delivery date later today!!!

So previously we were given a build month and now we’ll be told which quarter instead? That’s not progress!

What build date or deposit date were you, as that quarterly approach may be for later people. I’d hope folks who had previously been told Sept/Oct/Nov build would get an updated month.
