Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

The last time I spoke to cs (late September) I was in the October build for an automatic but haven’t heard anything this month other than the order update with Harry’s garage from Geoff Dowding, Today I checked out a few insurance companies for an Emira, Manual no problem but NO Automatic on any sites. There can’t be much difference between the cars for Approval other than the transmission. Have somebody dropped the ball getting the Approval rating by only submitting the manual version in the allotted time for the UK (read cut off date in a previous thread) I can’t see me having my car this side of Christmas and I will contact cs this week. I got the car booked into Topaz detailing for full PPF and I will need to update them with another postponement (was an August build)so far they have been very understanding but we’re in the lap of the gods, or Lotus production schedule same thing.

Same as me. October build and Auto. I'm am now starting to lose patience with Lotus. I emailed CS weeks back and keep getting told an update is immediate (2 weeks back) so chased again and been told they will contact me within a week or two and they will not commit I'm not getting my car next month! Just be honest and upfront and they haven't and that is what I am pissed off about. If I run my business CS they way they did i would be losing customers. If I wasn't on this forum I would be clearing my garage and sorting finances waiting to except my car.

Just had my phone call from Lotus, very helpful chap.

1) The phone number they called from is NOT the one they said in the recent email, it was 03300 948047 rather than 01753 941775.

2) I am in the first 250

3) Will go through checkout process in December.

4) Collect from Hethel in January.

5) Will be given a choice of three dates nearer the time, if none of these dates are suitable then that is NOT a problem and they will work with us to provide alternative dates.

6) Part exchange process will be done at Hethel at time of collection, details to be confirmed nearer the time.

OK that's interesting, I was told months ago I was probably in the first 500 (deposit 8 July Goodwood) So if they manage to get a couple hundred out a month I should be late Feb or March, which would actually suit me. However it would be good to know!!

At this point I don't think it's about dishonesty, it seems they just simply don't know. Although there should be a single point person all these groups connect to, there doesn't seem to be one. Each group appears to float independently in their own world, and tries to get communication from the other groups who function the same way. Too many delays and miscommunication with a setup like that. It's slow and inefficient which is why when one group says something, they don't know that the source of that info has changed because communication is slow, so by the time they get the change, they now have to revise what they said earlier. It's confusing for everybody, both within and without.

It's already cost many with the market slide in px values, mines probably down 8k since spring, not to mention the Apr increase

Just had the same phone call. December build for January delivery. Fingers crossed for a few cold but dry sunny days in the New Year!

I'm 8th of July so could be 400 cars after you, just had a reply from Abi too, only info she could give me was, they will be contacting me in the next few weeks to discuss my emira delivery.
From that I take it April at least.
Last week Abi told me I was on for October build Nov delivery, I told her to contact the factory or her team leader and get their story straight.

I was morning of 8th via lotus website, and now Jan delivery…. You could easily be more than a month behind depending on the time of day as they took loads of deposits at goodwood…

@TomE should get a free Eletre, not only for putting up with us sods, but for all the folks on here he has provided help and guidance to which inevitably would have led to further deposits and sales for Lotus.

Thanks ... I think! I cancelled my Eletre deposit because it was looking like a re-run of the Emira pre-launch customer care all over again, plus it's huge. But I appreciate the sentiment.

I hope I've helped fill some of the comms gap left by Lotus, shared some of the highs (and pitfalls) of Lotus ownership and encouraged a few people to place deposits or stick with it. The Lotus Community is a big part of owning a Lotus car and I hope this forum (mostly) mirrors that community spirit.

I don’t want my car delivered in January but looking to delay to March doesn’t now appear to be an option. Let’s be honest though if you were betting, would you bet on your car being delivered in January, I wouldn’t. We’ve been here before many times.

March 2021 deposit on Auto

Lotus have been my favourite brand since a kid and the Emira would be my 10th (4 of which were bought new). I bought my first Lotus in 1999 and had 4 in the garage about 8 yrs ago.

Until now I have remained chilled about the delays and only called CS 3 times for updates. Last week I was told I am still October build November delivery.

We had an invite to view the Electre last week as wife was keen on one to replace her Stelvio, but with the lack of clarity and comms from Lotus we cancelled the appointment.

As has been said so many times, honest updates on the Emira situation would diffuse bad feeling. I really want my Emira and hate the thought that I am falling out of love with the brand.
