Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Were they asking you to confirm your spec, while telling you any changes would mean being delayed into 2023?
They wanted me to confirm before locking in, I did change from privacy glass after seeing both options on a visit to the Lotus academy, it would appear I could have changed more, but decided to stick with red even though I had been tempted by yellow and blue ;)

what wait... you had to pay a deposit? ahhhh thats why I haven't got my car yet..... the damn deposit
we have another 7-10-15-20 days before people do test drives.... its going to be thin on here until then
Yes, my first deposit was paid 5th October 2019. It has been a bit of a wait.

Just had a chat with CS. The containers that were spotted by an eagle eyed forum member while attending the Lotus Driving Academy, are to do with the construction of a new Academy building by the test track.

well the eagle eyed was possibly me, but actually I didn't see them, I was told about them by an "employee" there and I dont think what CS told you is necessarily true as the containers were air freight ones, and I am 100% sure Lotus are not that bothered about their driving academy in order to fly the construction bits in, so I am still thinking they were car bits.
Also remember only 2 days ago the factory tour person counted at least 40 cars going through the lines, so some parts have arrived for sure.... and we can only hope SOME cars are actually being completed.
Tomorrow Im going to Rybrook's and will see what the deal is there, although I can guess just as handily.. ...

Maybe they are a bit ashamed to tell the truth thinking that it looks badly on them that they are still waiting on a myriad of parts.
When in fact if they just told the truth none of us would care and be all the more understanding, as well as happier Lotus customers!

Sorry, 60 weeks. Although, the way Lotus are, perhaps 60 months will be closer to reality.
Lotus USA customers are being told 104 weeks as per Gator Motorsport. In reality I think it's a little bit longer. I don't think you will see more than 50 customer deliveries in September, if at all. I don't think this delay is parts related. Geely has enough pull to be able to get missing parts within 6/8 months... remember original timeline was Spring of 2022. There was something not fully finished to get to production spec and I think lotus was sorting out other issues and going back to some suppliers to sort out those problems before final part production.

I would say to anyone depositing for a V6 to think that 2025 delivery is not out of the question. Once i4 reviews get published, test drives, people seeing Emira's out and about... the lists won't be getting smaller.

Zero deliveries due in September. Month 1 for customer deliveries is October, and it may only be 30-50 cars. It certainly doesn't look like a full month of production, with many more people saying they are now Nov compared to those saying Oct.

I think the 60 weeks is the old script for LCC. It was 65-70 weeks before Goodwood and they've announced two lots of delays since then of 6-8 weeks and 1-2 months.

Yet again Lotus being inconsistent! They've told lots of people with build in Oct and Nov that any change means a delay into 2023. Glad you got yours. I can't even delete something without it causing a big delay.

New contributor here, I have had my place since May 2020 before reveal with my main dealer, who assured a car slot. When it was known that obtaining a car slot was to be direct with Lotus - they told me to deposit online, this was after Goodwood, so was truly dismayed at this. However, I did manage to get an FE slot, ( won’t go into details) but like all have been dismayed by the continual push back of delivery. I was down for Spring, then May, June then build in July delivery in August, then August build September delivery, yesterday became Either November/December.🤷🏻‍♂️After selling my Evora400 last October, I was hoping for the Emira this year, but have lost out all year on motoring activities. (Track days and tours)

The big issue I have is wanting to test drive a car. Now I am a long term Lotus guy- Elan S3 in 1971. lotus Elite in 1978, Esprit Turbo X180, Lotus Elise S1, Evora S Sports Racer, Evora 400. So fully understand the lotus magic on ride and handling.

I have specified:
Magma Red
Black pack
Ice interior
Privacy glass
Silver wheels
Black brake callipers
Sport Suspension
Michelin Cup tyres

The reason I want to drive one is to check the gearbox graunch has gone in low gears (they have beefed the box up) pertinent to Evora’s and Exiges both my two new Evora’s had it and I don’t want the Emira to have it!
Window seals have been sorted.
And finally tour versus sport feel, I fear that I will not get the opportunity to check based upon the dealer cars being what looks like Sport Demo - tour test drive, or am I reading too much into this🤷🏻‍♂️
LCS want me to confirm the above spec today, but after months and months cannot get a drive. I am so frustrated.

Welcome to the forum and I sympathise with your frustrations.

Your dealer deposit should have been converted across to a central deposit and your original May 2020 date should have been honoured. Lotus messed this up for a lot of the pre-reveal people and I was assured by Scott Walker (UK Head of Sales) and Customer Care that this had been sorted out. You should be in Month 1 or 2 for delivery, so currently Oct or Nov.

Test drives should be in Sept and depending on your dealer they are likely to have only Sports or Touring available, not both. I fear any changes you make after a test drive will push delivery into 2023.

Your spec looks great!

Yes, you have a point about the containers. Just saying what CS told me. Although i did put 2 and 2 together and think there could be car parts in them.

I put my deposit down in October 2019 with a dealer. In 2021 i was refunded this with the dealer saying to go on the Lotus web site and pay deposit there. The dealer said i would be given a 32 degit number, give that to them and i would retain my place.

Just sharing this as it might help someone.
I emailed CServ yesterday to ask (due to an almost nailed on bleak mid winter handover) if we could do the factory handover then have it dropped off at home (not for free i would pay of course).

Came back today saying its not an option.

I hate salt especially on Loti - you can hear them fizzing if they get any salt on em!!!!

Might get a transporter waiting at the gate and go for factory collection anyway.....
