Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Received notice today from Lotus stating they have finished some customer cars.
Thanks.
Finally an intelligent and seemingly honest communication about the Lotus state of affairs and customer impact. Imagine the angst and speculation that could have been avoided if all dealers distributed a version of this to depositors back in June. Being left in the dark is frankly insulting.
Explaining the need for patience makes it easier to grant.
Nurturing brand loyalty pays dividends.
Respect is rewarded.

"seemingly" except no one has their cars and a customer car was "finished" 3 months ago.. but some how a customer never got it.. haha

lotus and honest.... thats irony isn't it.. haha

Will there be some benefit from our pain of waiting sooo long for our cars.
Reading in the papers this weekend, there's speculation that Liz Truss is going to reduce VAT to 15%.
If this is the case, this will be a significant saving for UK buyers about to receive their cars in the coming months.
That would be an easy way for Lotus to meet the £60k base model i4 commitment, if they could get the first batch out within the VAT reduction period ;) Then raise the base model price with the return to 20% VAT....

It reminds me of the eat out during the pandemic - can anyone remember paying less money for a meal out when VAT was reduced. My local restaurants didn’t seem to lower their prices. Just saying🤷🏻‍♂️

Now that is hoping for too much :D I doubt the Base model will be built within a VAT reduction period,.

Reading between the lines, In short we are sorry for having no Fuckinnnnnn clue how to navigate or product plan in any climate let alone this one ☝️. Your Emira may be coming sometime in future. It’s a cut and paste email I saw 2 months ago by the way.
Well if they put that in an email, at least it is believable.

Oh the Summer of "eat out to help out". I feel giddy with delight at the reduced family holiday costs :D

… prompting a rush of deposit holders wanting to defer their deliveries into the reduced-VAT window to save £4k. Then Lotus telling them they’re bumped to “sometime in 2023”. And a bunch of 2023 people then being offered earlier slots due to the deferrals, but only at a full VAT price. Can you imagine the amount of rescheduling it’ll cause?

He seems convinced his dealer is giving him correct info, despite two incorrect previous predictions about imminent delivery dates for Belgian customer and demo cars.

His dealer is messing him about, or he is getting confused with the dealer’s demo car

🤣 Brilliant, sounds like a normal day at the Lotus planning department

Any bets when the first phone call will actually be made!........... September starts tomorrow!.................
