I think they really need to work on shipping. I’ve ordered from them before and it almost seems as if shipping cost is about 20% of the value of the item I ordered which happens to be the VAT we’re supposed to be saving. I’ve ordered much larger, bulkier parts from other vendors in Europe and shipping has been significantly less.

Yeah I agree, if you have a recommendation I can bubble it up to them.

Yeah tell them to charge less 😂

But seriously, they could be more transparent because it feels like we’re being upcharged. Maybe they should look at other carriers like DHL or a different UPS service level. They also charge a “customs fee for export” but then I get hit with a separate charge from UPS for import duties 🤷‍♂️.

Between that, the credit card fee and the high shipping cost, we’re over the 20% we would have saved by not having to pay VAT.

One more question. I may have misread and I can’t find it now. Were there supposed to be hardware updates to the Syvecs unit next year?

lol yeah I will tell them. Might be an Austria thing bc I have bought from other counties but never Austria before.

No new hardware updates only remote updates. The only new “hardware” is their new Bluetooth module.

The ones in our group who got the Bluetooth they are refunding us the money bc they had issues.

Awesome, thanks for confirming! And thank you for being our official unofficial Jubu rep! They are a supporting vendor so it would be nice to see them post here btw.
Of course! Got looped in since starting the thread. Yeah I asked about that but they said would be too much bc they have other forums. Looks like this is how they do it I guess. I don’t mind, wish it was more plug and play through :ROFLMAO:

This is off topic, and I am interested in this upgrade in the future.

My question is, would this company be interested in developing a way to update the other software functions of the Emira, similar to what Bimmercode offers for BMW models? They appear to have the coding ability.

I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on this upgrade but my head says to wait for warranty period to be over. Perhaps prices will soften as competitors crack the factory ECU to unlock similar performance. Maybe too much for a rise in rev limit (but it really needs it) and a "bit" more power...

I had today my remote session with Rene, great guy and very smooth session. We had like a 2hrs session where he changed the settings then test drove it then adjusted it again a couple of times.

I wanted some nice pops and bangs… eventually got an orchestra of pops and bangs very loud.. which we dialled down again after a bit. Overall very happy with the outcome. There are a few small things left which they are working on so hopefully soon thats fixed aswel.

I vouch for JUBU if you want a good quality product 👍🏼 these guys absolutely know what they are doing. Yes it is an expensive mod but rather this than tempering the original ecu. 💪🏼

Is it considered fixes or personalization?
Do they include those changes in the software they ship in future sales?

Well there is not much to fix other than the rpm limit of 7200 on the dash, currently showing 7000 but you can pull to 7200… this is something they are working on and will update when its ready. Also there is some gear indication issues which they are working on.

Apart from that (which does not affect how the car drives) was personalisation. I live in Dubai and even today almost November the westher was 40 degrees C (105F) so the car needed adjustment such as throttle response for these climates (fixed). Also pops and bangs… but ut was waaay too loud so we had to dial that down a bit. So yeah rather personalisation then fixing as there was not much to fix.. the power was there (as shown on my previous post with a dyno run).

Good question. I know they told me they are working on their own JUBU app for the tune so this could be something that could be like that. I’ll ask

Awesome news! Yes I agree bc you can always switch back to OEM ECU at anytime.

Yes I have a remote update today at some point with Rene. He has couple maps for me to try with overruns (pops and bangs) so he has a OEM one which in our group everyone but 1 person loved the OEM overruns (especially if you have 3rd cat delete) and he has a loud/more overrun.

I know I will like OEM, if it’s too loud I won’t like it. @GlobalPilot777 looks like you already tested the loud one lol. But hey some of you might want that and that’s cool Rene made this for us. When they were here we couldn’t get it to be like OEM. I have some overruns but not as much as OEM. So he said he would go back and do some on the dyno and get it dialed in for couple different ones that he can have for people.

If you don’t like overruns well they have you covered, they can do that too.

Also had some message on group buy.

How it works is I just need name, phone number and email.

JUBU will send everyone an excel to fill out individually. Also they will send everyone an individual invoice with the discount already applied. So everyone pays separate not in a pool.
