Nice. When you do your video, it'd be great to get some impressions on what (if any) compromises you find on a motorway touring run (drone, volume , etc), not just how awesome it sounds when getting up it 😁 🙏

If it can still be relatively civilised when necessary, but sound V12 Supercar ™️ at the flick of a switch, that sounds like a winner for sure 👍
I will do full comparisons.
I suspect there will be more boom in Tour. I will report back.

From your link: Larini ‘Race’ Pipes are high temperature resistant, hollow pipes, which replace the original bulky secondary catalytic converters.

It's just a single pipe that replaces the 3rd cat.
Correct. Replaces the big ugly cat on the L shaped pipe coming off the backend.

Ah.. Ha. Forgot to mention.
The car feels faster. Enough that you can notice.
This might be down to the psychology of more mouse but, given the logic of faster moving gases and less weight, this is likely true.

Jon went out in it earlier today but just found out he was not a member on here.
He is now. His car looks amazing. He wi be along shortly hopefully with his input on the experience.

Meanwhile, happy to take people out in the car, as usual. I am in West Surrey, near Weybridge.

oh so what you have is not a full exhaust system? It's just a 3rd cat delete?
Nono..
They did not manage the manifold in time but have the full back box which is MASSIVELY different.

I will try and get a YouTube short up for you guys.

So everything BUT the manifold.. For now.

Given how damn good it sounds as us, the manifold with an extra 2 cats removed might be too much and I ky for racing.

ah ok gotcha, then it sounds like you have a cat back system with a 3rd cat delete and stock manifold for now. Custom exhaust manifold to come.

Sorry to jump the bit, we are very excited as you can tell! 😜 I've enjoyed all your other youtube videos on the emira, looking fwd to this one.

Ha. Yep.
It was worth the wait. It was a LONGGGG wait, and Larini had my car for 5 weeks!

I was so apprensivs on collection today.
Turned the key... Thought.. Umm. Bassy. Bit louder.

Put into Track.
Accelerated down the street and then swore and started laughing.
At the higher revs the car elevates to supercardom and matches the looks.

ah makes sense. @Evotion, is there a link for what you got installed?
Have put up 2 videos showing the kit on Instagram.

Edit... Added IG link. Ha.

Feel free to download, use and share on Groups but please credit back to my YouTube channel:

Cheers.

thanks! When you do the full review, would it be possible to show a close up of these welds on the back box?

Had a ride yesterday in Ade's Emira (he lives quite near to me), as he informed me that he'd finally collected it from B&C, where they'd fitted his Larini exhaust system.

Message read: "You gotta come & hear this!!"

Well, It's really quite a change from std!, in Tour drive mode, it's a little louder, but the main difference is a distinctly deeper note to the sound, the engine sounds 'bigger', if you know what I mean.

But when put in Sport, or track, it's a totally different animal.
Whilst it clearly can't actually be revving any higher, due to the rev rev-limiter, it's sounds like it is, almost like it's not a 6 cyl anymore! (I know, that sounds crazy, right?). I guess it can only be the sheer level of sound, or some clever resonance thing, but it really does howl!
I think it probably attracts a bit more attention, both good & bad than I would be comfortable with on street, but I guess in Tour mode, if you're taking it easy it can probably be perfectly acceptable when needed, but Ade didn't really do 'taking it easy in Tour mode'! He's a bit of a Hooligan.

Interestingly, it was my first ride in an Emira equipped with the Sport Chassis option (my own is a Tour), and I have to say I was very surprised how compliant it was, not the jarring boneshaker I was expecting, or should I say, had been led to believe.
Ade did say he was running the tyre pressures on the lower side, which may have helped a bit, but tbh, it really didn't feel much different to mine at all.

Plus a shout-out to Ade, for his connection with GVE in Uxbridge, who honoured the 10% discount on the full PPF on my Emira from quoting his (RevMonkey) youtube channel, and they did a fabulous job, and the customer service/experience there was excellent.

Have you stuck some pics of your car up on here Jon?
Am amazing spec.

Drive the Emira today with the windows up and sounds fab.
It might well be loud outside of the car. I need someone to drive mine!

I cannot wait more for videos , from all angles 🤣

can’t wait to hear what it sounds like but now I’m wondering g is it might not be track day friendly

Not sure myself to be honest. If the car stays with me I do plan to take it to a lot more trackdays - it was brilliant.
One could keep it in Tour, or add a baffle in easily enough, if it fails on the day at a stringent place.

Any idea what kind of increase to insurance this would make?
