Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

They really don't have the first idea what they are doing. My production date was originally October (yes, that's 2022 for clarity) and I had to finalise my spec by the end of May. My production date is now some unspecified time in 2023 yet I still can't change spec without penalty / delay and yet people with a November build now are being asked to confirm their final spec. Makes no sense.
I couldn't change without penalty, although the email said I could....

Just so you know - I am November build - CC called me today to firm up my spec - even though the email says I had until 19th to change it if I wanted to, any changes would mean a delay to 2023 - so its not quite what it seems
I had exactly the same experience today. Initial order was 14th July.

I was speaking to LCC about various things earlier. As mentioned over on another post (link below), the emails saying some people had a short window to confirm spec are misleading - if you change anything you get pushed into 2023 and the month becomes TBD.

Still sending mixed messages🙄 I also had call from Alex at Lotus today. He confirmed spec over phone and followed up with e-mail, but clearly stated I could change spec up until next Thursday without jeopardising November delivery (I am 14th July deposit & in UK if that makes any difference)

That's very inconsistent!

Are you Nov delivery or Nov build/Dec delivery? I'm Oct build (and assumed Nov delivery) and haven't got the confirm/change option in my email. Mine specifically says my spec is locked.

I was told the same by Alex today - Thursday being deadline for changes. Also Nov build for Dec delivery.

Sorry, November build, not November delivery

FFS !! I will call Alex on Monday… doing factory tour Thursday, so was going to make final decision on privacy glass if I could straight after

Having a read through some the posts on this thread it seems that the UK batch one and two have now been merged for what ever reason, everyone being asked to lock in by the 19th seem to be batch 3.

Anyone agree? Or am I reading it wrong.

Does seem somewhat true. I’ve been ‘upgraded’ to join Tom and the other earlier depositors now looking at Oct build; previously I was the subsequent month. But that’s going back sometime now.

However I think I’m right in saying we don’t yet know how Oct builds will be split in terms of deliveries, keys in hands, etc. Maybe I’m still a bit further down the spreadsheet (e.g. week 4 Oct build could mean late Nov early Dec delivery.)

Along the same lines. Why does it take a month from the car rolling off the line, to getting it to our house, place of work, a Lotus Centre or collect from Hethel itself?

well its only a lotus, not a ferrari... it doesn't go that fast, not sure what you're expecting 🏎😂

🤣 well i think even a car transporter or covered trailer, however they do it, could get from Hethel to most places in the UK within a couple of days, not a month.🤔

I’m sure someone on here said the cars go from the factory to somewhere near Oxford for PDI, then back to factory for collection/onward delivery. Doesn’t sound particularly efficient does it?!

yes thats right and who knows how organised they are, lets hope they are not a sister company

Not efficient at all. But I guess it is just carrying the baton on from the factory, as that doesn't seem to exactly run like clockwork.🤔

The UK cars are transported to Oxford for PDI and final clean/preparation. They are then put onto onward transport depending on your delivery choice. This includes cars that are being collected from the factory
All of this is done under contract to Unipart who are hopefully well set up for vehicle logistics.
I would expect that if cars are built early October they should be delivered in that month. I think that Lotus will be very keen to get some cash rolling in as soon as possible.

Yes, I have said in a previous post that Lotus staff should have been itching to get back to work last Monday after 2 weeks off to, as you said, to start getting some money in as soon ( Not that word again) as possible. Not forgetting it has been 8 months since the last of the 3 E's rolled out of Hethel.

Unipart is still going, good for them. Though this sounds familiar!
